Managing contrast allergies in patients undergoing diagnostic or interventional radiology procedures requires a multidisciplinary approach to prevent adverse reactions and improve patient safety. Nurses, pharmacists, and radiology teams play complementary roles in identifying high-risk patients, implementing premedication protocols, and ensuring effective communication throughout the care process. This review explores the collaborative roles of nurses, pharmacists, and radiologists in managing contrast allergies. It highlights the impact of such teamwork on patient outcomes, adherence to protocols, and the prevention of contrast-related adverse events.
