As part of telehealth, tele pharmacy addresses healthcare disparities, especially in rural areas, and tele pharmacies enhance accessibility, reduces costs, and improves medication management. Its applications extend to medication therapy monitoring, medication reconciliation, adherence management, and patient counseling, providing significant benefits to patients and healthcare providers alike. Despite its potential, tele pharmacy faces challenges such as regulatory barriers, technological limitations, workforce adaptation, patient engagement issues, and data privacy concerns. This review explores the role, benefits, and limitations of tele pharmacy and digital health interventions, with the aim of providing a comprehensive understanding of their impact on pharmacists and healthcare systems.
