Abstract

Collaboration between dental professionals and dietitians is critical to enhancing patient care and improving oral health outcomes. This review explores the roles of dental assistants, dental technicians, and dietitians in providing integrated care that addresses aspects of dental and nutritional health. The review highlights the role of integration of patient education, dietary assessment, and nutritional counseling in the prevention and management of oral disease. The review also highlights strategies to enhance collaboration and professional competence. The findings suggest the need for a comprehensive approach that prioritizes both oral and general health to achieve sustainable patient outcomes and improve quality of care.
