Wound care management is a critical aspect of nursing practice, significantly impacting patient outcomes. Recent advancements in wound care have introduced innovative technologies, novel wound care materials, and enhanced nurse-led interventions, revolutionizing patient care. This systematic review examines emerging trends in wound care, including the adoption of smart dressings, wearable monitoring devices, and telehealth platforms, alongside the development of bioactive and antimicrobial dressings. Furthermore, the study highlights the effectiveness of nurse-led interventions, such as personalized care plans and patient education strategies, in improving wound healing rates and reducing complications. By synthesizing recent research, this review underscores the evolving role of nurses in implementing cutting-edge wound care solutions and optimizing patient-centered approaches. The findings emphasize the need for continuous professional development in nursing to integrate these advancements effectively. Future research should explore the long-term impact of these innovations on patient outcomes and healthcare cost-effectiveness.
