Radiology has undergone a remarkable transformation since the discovery of X-rays in the late 19th century. This evolution, from the advent of basic imaging modalities to the incorporation of sophisticated artificial intelligence (AI) tools, has revolutionized diagnostic and therapeutic practices in medicine. This paper traces the history of radiology, highlighting significant technological advancements, and explores the emerging role of AI in improving diagnostic accuracy, workflow efficiency, and patient outcomes. The future of radiology promises to be shaped by personalized medicine, further integration of AI, and novel imaging techniques, all of which will contribute to a new era of precision healthcare.
