Integrating nutrition into medical education is critical for addressing the rising prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and improving healthcare outcomes. This narrative review examines global practices and local perspectives in Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the gaps in nutrition education, barriers to integration, and strategies for reform. The study highlights the need for culturally sensitive approaches, faculty development, and resource allocation to overcome challenges in embedding nutrition in medical curricula. It also explores practical recommendations and successful international experiences to guide the development of nutrition education frameworks aligned with Saudi Vision 2030. The findings underscore the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and continuous evaluation to enhance nutrition competencies among healthcare professionals.
