Abstract

This review explores the transformative role of pharmacists in addressing key challenges in healthcare, focusing on their contributions to improving patient adherence to complex medication regimens. Specialty medications, which are integral to the management of chronic and complex conditions, often present barriers such as high costs, accessibility issues, and complex administration requirements. Pharmacists contribute to bridging gaps in healthcare, understanding medications, and facilitating the effective use of these medications through strategic interventions, including community-based workshops. The review highlights how these efforts improve patient outcomes, reduce healthcare costs, and contribute to overall public health, emphasizing the urgent need for innovative pharmacist-led approaches in modern healthcare systems.
