Abstract

The cooperation of nursing, anesthesiology, and pharmacy experts in dental treatment is very beneficial for the management of oral health, especially in older populations. According to research, interprofessional education (IPE) greatly improves healthcare students' competencies and promotes improved collaboration between dentists and pharmacists, two essential professionals in managing complicated patient demands. The combined efforts of dentists, nurses, and pharmacists are especially beneficial for older persons, who frequently encounter obstacles while trying to obtain dental treatment. For this susceptible group, improved oral health results are guaranteed by this collaborative paradigm. Additionally, by showing how collaboration can enhance the administration of oral drugs, programs such as the Quality Medication Reconciliation Project highlight the critical role pharmacists play in patient care. Incorporating oral health into larger healthcare systems requires these collaborative efforts, which will consequently enhancing the results for patients.
