Dental Assistants and Professionals in Saudi Arabia: Addressing Workforce Needs and Advancing Care Delivery

In Saudi Arabias healthcare system dental assistants and professionals play a role ensuring smooth clinical operations and educating patients on preventive care measures. However challenges, like workforce shortages, scarce career growth opportunities and uneven service distribution persist. This study delves into the existing landscape of assisting and professional roles in Saudi Arabia with a focus on meeting workforce demands and improving care delivery. Suggestions such as expanding initiatives promoting growth and harnessing technology are explored to empower dental assistants and professionals, in the field. It is crucial to enhance this workforce to reach the health objectives and back the Vision 2030 plan.
