Abstract

Telepharmacy is an important part of telemedicine in modern healthcare that relies on digital technologies to deliver pharmaceutical services remotely to achieve inclusiveness and equitable access to all communities and patients. This review explores the key components, benefits, challenges, and future directions of telepharmacy, emphasizing its role in improving access to healthcare, especially for patients in remote areas and those with chronic diseases. The review also explores the role of telepharmacy in improving patient outcomes through better medication management, continuous monitoring, and personalized care. However, challenges such as regulatory inconsistencies, technological limitations, and data security concerns remain barriers to its widespread implementation.
